“Well, since you asked so politely. We’ll even record the process and put the process video online.”

Well, Tauhid blew his cue for posting this, so I’ll repost this for him (from the last strip’s comments).

Tauhid: “BTW I made a short process video if anyone is interested in seeing something like that :) https://www.facebook.com/ProblemLikeJamal/videos/1911163465642240/”

God bless video-capable phones! Cops should believe they will find themselves in a viral spiral if they fail in their professionalism that must be extended to all humans they encounter. If they’re actually investigating a reported crime for which the detainee seems to fit the description, shouldn’t they just say so right up front in a non-threatening manner? I hope this storyline has a happy ending.

Just to be clear: Whether or not you have to identify yourself when a police officer asks you to ENTIRELY depends on the state the encounter happens in. I don’t want to encourage anyone to refuse to identify themselves if it is illegal to do so. That’s all the motive a bad cop needs to escalate.
