I sense a fear of technology… Happens around middle age, I hear.

I remember when we got our first computer at home and my mom had spent about 3 hours trying to turn it on. Then I came home and turned it on, no problem! We have had a computer for 8 years now and she still hasn’t a clue!

My dad once couldn’t figure out how to continue in a program that asked for him to hit the “any” key. (Yes, he did ask me and my brothers where it was on the keyboard.) :p

Interesting, I’m a grandmother & my daughter comes to me w/ her computer issues…. & she’s a Gen Xer. Maybe it’s not age, but how someone processes information.

Hugh (and other late-comers): Adam’s new computer is a Mac G5. The “Command” key, formerly known as the “Apple” key, is the equivalent of Windows’ “Alt” key.

My mom and I get computers but my dad has no clue as to anything about computers. He spent like 2 weeks trying to hook a router up to his computer wirelessly and i told him i could do it in 30 minutes max since ive don it serveral times. He waved me away and said he could do it. I helped him two weeks later after he gave up. Apparently he was following the instructions carefully and not going off course. That always causes problems with computers. :^)
