a bus probably isn’t in the budget or possibly couldn’t be scheduled for the time of the trip. My wife is a grade school teacher and has showed me that those field trips were a lot more complicated than we thought.

my son didn’t even ask us - he volunteered us when the teacher asked for adult chaperons for a field trip
