Adam: One of the keys to baseball is to not be afraid of the ball. Clayton: Why? It hurts if it hits you. Adam: Well, that's what your glove is for. Clayton: What if it takes a bad bounce and hits you in the face? Adam: Well...that's what ice is for. Clayton: What does ice do? Adam: Hopefully, it gets the swelling down before you get home and your mom sees it. Clayton: A swollen face? Cool! Let's play!

that trick doesn’t always work, the swelling may not be asa bad, but a black eye still shows
