Adam: Wow! Look at all these! Monopoly, Life, Clue, Masterpiece... Clayton: Is this what you did before the Wii and the internet? Adam: Yes, And I'll have you know that board games can be quite thrilling. Clayton: I doubt it. Adam: C'mon. I'll show you. Let's play "Life" when we're done down here. Clayton: How do you play? Adam: You pay bills, have kids, buy insurance. It's great! Clayton: Boy, the standards for what qualified as a game in your day were pretty liberal.

I have an unopened box of Life (the classic one from the 90s). Can’t wait ‘til my four-year-old is old enough.

My son at 7 was beating his grandma, uncles & aunt at Scrabble. (I knew better than to play.)

Good one Bald. I had a conversation with one of my children I tutor about pictures and cameras, and he freaked when I told him we didn’t have digital camera’s 10 years ago. He said, “Well what did you all use?” I showed him an old disposable camera I never got developed, and he said, “Wow, you all really did live in the stone age.”

You should make another comic from the kids view, but instead have one of the kids talking about The Sims video game. Adam would instead ask, “How do you play?” and one of the kids would answer the same. ^_^

pack rat that i am, i still have my original Monopoly game - with all the original cash, and even the rules sheet (since no one ever bothered to play according to the actual rules, it was never removed from the box. it’s over forty years old, and has a completely different set of (wooden) tokens than what the classic tokens are considered to be (no “top hat” for example).

I loved playing Monopoly and Risk. If I couldn’t dominate the finance world, I’d try to take it over by force. Also still like Chess.

The classic Game of Life goes back to 1963. I got one the year it came out.

I have a Monopoly board that was a jigsaw puzzle I glued it to a cutout from a cabinet top after I put it together, then laminated it. That was about 32 years ago. At the time I worked the puzzle I was running a temp of about 103.
