Laura: Did you make any resolutions? Adam: I'm not making resolutions anymore. Life isn't about what year it is. It's about living in the moment! Seizing the day! Laura: If you don't watch your diet you'll be seizing your chest. Adam: I'm getting a strange vibe that you're caling me fat. Laura: Fat? you? Adam: I still fit into the pants we were married in. Laura: Well, 'fit' is probably not the right word. Adam: I am not overweight. I'm in good shape. Laura: Okay, but we're cutting back on red meat, cheese and white bread. Adam: I've no changed my mind about resolutions. Laura: Let me guess. You now resolve to eat more meat, cheese, and bread? Adam: Bingo! Laura: And we'll play more bingo!

I’m sure most of us here have Great Sympathy for you. I found a few of those pounds you lost and am trying hard to return them. Can I come work with you next year?

People should eat more red meat, maybe cheese if they’re dairy tolerant, and no bread or other grain foods at all. Plenty of healthy fats too like lard, tallow, coconut and olive oil. Make it grass finished meat too. But that won’t keep the medical industrial complex in business so stop thinking and enjoy your “heart-healthy” low-fat, whole grain industrial “food”.

Eat food (not processed gunk), not too much, mostly plants.

But indulge occasionally. My weakness is for Costco chocolate chip cookies.

Unlike Adam, I’m working on losing weight, and it’s going great.

Take out that bread and just keep the meat and cheese and add some veggies and you got yourself a low-carb plan! I highly recommend it.
