Smart kid… most kids her age, my niece included wouldn’t know what “Drank the Kool-Aid” means. It’s almost as if an adult is putting words in her mouth. Wait a minute!

The expression comes from the story of Jim Jones, the leader of the People’s Temple cult. He convinced his followers to drink (and to get their kids to drink) cyanide-laced Kool-Aid

I have heard people use the phrase knowing what the phrase meant but not knowing the origin of the phrase. Kind of like many other old clichés that we use and don’t understand, like “pulling your leg”.

So many times I think Adam and Ted of “Sally Forth” would be best buddies. They so think alike! Ted isn’t known for being a coffee fanatic but Adam could convert him. They’re both kids at heart. I think their wives and kids would get along great too.
