Drug addict. sad.

USE of drugs may or not be OK. Cup of coffee before the morning commute for example. Medical prescription use is another. Many other samples available.

ABUSE of drugs is when things go south. 3 pots of coffee in one sitting qualifies. Maybe time for the author to wean him off if it. Could be a great story plot, though kiss the coffee shop goodbye

If he could just remember that he’s a cartoon character, the problem would go away with a scene change.

I cut back when I realized I was drinking an entire pot before lunch. Now I often go an entire day without coffee.

Sounds like withdrawal symptoms…
