The non-poets don’t have to share their Slurpee.

We poets rarely have a candy bar to share with others.

This explains why Emily Dickinson was alone her whole life.

Wise men will sayThat a pome every dayKeeps the doctor away(An apple’s a pome, as you know).

But a poem is worse; To quotidian verseWe ALL are averse(Each time you come in, out we go).

PerkyCat… in case you come back yet again…Sorry, it’s been that kind of day…

br>But thank you, yet again, as well.

I don’t write professionally… when I was much younger, it was assumed by some that I would.

I write some poetry, lots of song lyrics (can’t write the music), and occasional fiction… all mostly unseen.

Would love to find a way to get some of it seen but it’s daunting..

Piles of e-mail, but I’m waaaaay behind…. and of course, trenchant (cough) comics commentary, complete with truly horrid puns, read by millions…OK dozens… Ok… you and a few others.

Love it when everybody composes, on whatever skill level…LOL….

    DavidHG — thanks from yesterday.

Fritz and Bruno….my “offering” is on yesterday’s if you didn’t see it and for some reason (masochism?) want to..
