I love the art work in panel two. The cat finally touches the tree, and Amanda,in eager anticipation, actually clutches the panel itself. Well drawn, Ms. El-Dweek!!
They’ll wait until you’re gone. Then when you get home, you’ll find it’s been knocked over because the cats have been fighting over it! That’s how it works in my house anyway. Ha ha.
I once bought my cat Amber a cat toy that consisted of a plastic disk-type thing that had a motor in the center that kept a catnip mouse spinning around the outer edge that was mostly exposed so that she could grab it. It also had a circle of carpet on top for her to sit on while stalking the mouse.
She wouldn’t TOUCH it.
I won a small plush parrot, maybe 4" tall, in one of those grabber games that was poorly designed so that you pretty much always got something, for a quarter! She adored that thing until the day she passed, very literally. My mom sewed the head back on it 3 times for her, poor Amber was so worried each time she decapitated it.
Gotta love cats, their appreciation for your hard-earned money is so touching.

Put a little show box up there on top. They’ll all fight over it. Also, put a little catnip on the top shelf.
