A box on each level. Clean daily. No smell. Tracking is a problem but found a double layer mat that lets the litter fall through. One end is open makig it easy to dump the caught little. A great help but does not totally stop tracking.
Always a priority ~~ a place for the litter box and a good place to feed them. In one house we had a kitty door to the garage and that’s where the litter box was.

Totally. Especially if said laundry room also has a utility sink. (A girl can can dream of having her bathroom back.)

The laundry room gets the boxes out of the general house traffic, and spares the bathroom.
