I’d like to toss more than an apple at the talentless triumvirate that is ruining this great strip.

This is why they don’t serve bottled beer in many American sporting venues.

I just yesterday started reading Andy Capp and went back a few days to read strip and comments. Some of you mention the disappearance of DYLANTHOMAS/pi on Doonsbury. I had Gocomics admin check on him, and they have not had a response from him. His last post was about Feb1. I’m afraid he has passed away or had a stroke. I’m hoping that someone will read his email, and will respond to Gocomic about what has happened to him. Like losing an old friend.

Could be worse…Imagine if he starts throwing water bottles.

Number 6, in case you didn’t see my BIG welcome back yesterday, WELCOME BACK! Question for you, what has happened to Roger Kettle and why isn’t he writing the strip anymore? I noticed he went missing back in early April of 2011. Can’t find any info on him to idicate what happened.

Ohhhhhh! I want the OLD Andy Capp back.

That meal Flo cooked Andy yesterday, It obviously tasted horrible and probably WAS healthy. You would of thought after that experience he would straight back to unhealthy food.

If Andy DID start being nice to his Mother in Law. I would really stop reading the strip.

But I’m sure the new authors won’t go that far……..

i expect he will fall off of the wagon a lot. trying to stay “clean & sober” has its funny moments…

I don’t get it though, the Goldsmith has been associated with the strip since April 2011, why the sudden “change”?

i read the original years ago, then lost track. papers where i lived stopped carrying him. i was happy to find him when i found gocomics. even watered down i am enjoying it. i would like to see a rerun strip.

Say and contend what you will; I’m thinking “apple martini” is seriously being investigated by AC. He may, as demonstrated, throw the apple back, but that only means he is on the right track back.

I dunno, I’m rather enjoying this new Andy, the old formula was pretty stale, same joke done 1000 ways. Ever since they neutered the strip by not allowing the old flying fists and feet in a cloud of dust fights and so on I’ve rather ignored it. Now I’m back if only to see the reactions of all the various people who’ve known Andy as “that drunk guy” reacting to him sober.

I have some really old Andy Capp and B.C. books in my attic from when I was a kid. Garfield and Peanuts too. My parents read the comics also. They bought me the Andy Capp books so they must not have thought they were “bad for my upbringing”. And I turned out okay, if I do say so myself! :-D
