No fake colors then….. at least for another twenty or so years. I think Mom was in the 5-3, 5-4 range and kept her hair (brown) color pretty far along. Eventually there was gray, but no coloring to hide it. I have resumed my fitness routine now that I am mostly recovered and day temps are back up in the 20s. Been a little busy, but no outside work. I cleaned up in the living room some stuff that’s been waiting to get done for awhile now. I have started reading Mark Twain’s “Letters From the Earth”. One of the books from Mom’s collection that I brought back here. I am going out to recycle some metal.
Good day to you, too !
I think I have heard of that book before. I love the title. It’s beautiful. I hope you enjoy reading it. It must be a great comfort having your Mum’s collections with you. My mum is a big reader now but never used to be. I’m also a bookworm.
since Eldo is off joyriding on his bike, I can post this without fear of his ridicule…lol…not looking for sympathy either…it is what it is…glad I shopped yesterday for all the stuff for our pajama party New Years Eve because its supposed to be colder tomorrow!…heres the weather report for yesterday….History & Almanac Max Temperature: Min Temperature: Normal (KMIC) 23 °F 9 °F Record (KMIC) 48 °F (2004) -11 °F (1998) Yesterdays High Temp -2.2 °F Yesterdays Low Temp -4.2 °F
You know, the world looks totally different when you’ve got ‘flu – even your sense of humour changes and what would normally be amusing is meaningless. It’s like being depressed in a fog; when the wind isn’t sure if it’s cold or hot..I did go to bed early last night and may do the same again. But dreams are about two inches from your face and all jumbled together. It’s like hallucinating under a bad dose of anaesthetic..So I apologise for not being my usual strange self making comments that don’t make sense to some people..Maybe in the next life….
I meant to thank you for your nice comments about my silly poem parody, but in these treacherous modern times, things keep slipping by me and getting away from me! But I do appreciate it. (Btw Gweedo, “Letters from the Earth” isn’t great Mark Twain, but it is GOOD Mark Twain, and that’s better than most writers! Let us know what you think of it.)
At first when I saw number 19 in the series, I thought that the car behind you looked really cool, and I was trying to place it. Pontiac Bonneville? Nope, too forward looking…GTO, nope, not small enough…then it dawned on me…its an El Camino with another car parked so that it created an illusion…great series by the way!
Pyjama party….oh dear, I don’t wear any.Hey, for 6 old ladies, that would be a hoot! You are most cordially invited…lmao…Ruth would faint, but the rest of us would be laffing our collective heinies off….
For anyone that is a Heavenly Nostrils fan, Dana seems to be having Script Problems. You can get her Sunday comic at,https://dl.dropbox.com/u/102865470/hev121230.gif…i think…
Don’t listen to Foxworthy much, do you? Oh well. My hometown in Georgia is where Foxworthy goes for advice on being Southern. We started the Redneck Games the year the Olympics were in Atlanta. My brother won the Gold in the belly flop.
@Mikeyj:You could get Grampa Capp with the Southern Accent in the Redneck Games. Since the Capps have an affinity for water, have him compete in the mud belly flop. Great fun. Now, to be truly Southern, he needs to be called Pawpaw.
thanks a lot—for that image of 6 giddy Golden Girls drinking, playing Games, and trying on Hats in Their Pyjamas. I’d invite Myself, as I wear the same brand of PJs as pcolli, but it’s likely too late now, what with the time change, the constant stops for defrosting, suiting up in Winter Armor, etc. Was giggling, and discussing Boys involved? I’m going to be awakened anyways; what with the Sirens, rounds of Firecrackers and Gunfire, but now I’m going to stay up wondering if “ƹʅɗʘ” got discussed…or even Steveoh Sugar you have been cussed and discussed….and you and PColli are more than invited, you are delightul to us all, .and yes, a couple of the girls have been informed of the nefarious and gregarious goings on here…they keep on going “you go girl” and “sic em” because they are red blooded american girls after all, and because they think if I can, any girl can…lol…iggy me and them, and just enjoy sugar bear…cause Lord knows I am!…
@ Gweedo MurrayI have ordered a train loaded flat car of Stel Bel’s Brain Bleach in capsule form to get that image out of my head before bed time…hopefully it will arrive soon, and I will be off to dreamland without that “womans?” image in my visions of dancing sugar plums….
Gweedo, I just took my “brain bleach” aka Trazadone 50 mg’s, it lets me sleep without muscles spasms due to the m.s. and I gotta tell ya, that woman was disturbing, one of the “people of walmart” types…she made me wanna go on a diet and I have been told to gain – not lose weight…ah well, at least there are people we can pray for and encourage…I did like your Triton images and hope you post more and newer pics…
