@afficionadoApologies for intruding in your conversation with Number Three, but we had the same when watching our video collection recently: so many people that are no longer with us, like my dad. Sorry to hear about your losses too.But it was great watching our son as a baby and toddler again, in particular the parts where he is trying to eat beetroots (his face being red all over) and where he has contracted chicken pox (pox marks all over his body, but still smiling at me holding the camera). He was such a happy child. Still is as a grown-up, I must add.
What have I done?!?”It’s a mystery why any has trouble with authority but always claiming ’I’ve got the Vicar and The Police on My Back ". . . perhaps those Canal Dips a way of Railroading Them off-Track?
oo, cruel and unusual punishment to be stuffed into a little, phone-booth sized room that you can barely stand up in.(see, phone booths were these little compartments that you got into to use a pay phone)(see, pay phones were these gadgets that could call people , just like a cell, but you had to drop coins in the slot for each call)
Welcome back, Mikeyj! Hope you’re going to favor us with some more art, soon./
@Stagger Lee and LinguistYou just CAN’T picture Andy ever calling FLO “She Who Must Be Obeyed”, can you? Oddly enough, I’ve read all the Rumpole books but never actually saw the TV version of it.

If you take it with a smile, you got it ! It should be more of a jab to the school, but don’t tell’em… in case they don’t laugh. Years ago, in a letter I got from an old (American) Indian man, he wondered about the quality of the education I was getting… all in fun though. The two letters are almost 40 years old and I still got um. Mr. Tallchief has passed, however. I expressly remember you relating one of your slips. About a week ago I tripped in the dark hallway about 3 ish in the morning; fell on my hands but scraped my shins.. with a little “leakage”. No lasting hurt.
Barb’s ‘mister’ has a habit of coming to see her play and must feel mighty pleased by her performance. She is forward and has a dynamic vocal. You might actually enjoy what she does. Our grade school, Sweet Home Elementary, took us on a field trip there as well as the science museum and the history museum; not all in the same year. We also got a trip to the aquarium in Niagara Falls and rode the Maid of the Mist. School wasn’t always a drag ! Good Monday to you.
That’s awesome that you still have the letters from years and years ago. When did Mr. Tallchief pass away?
Sorry to hear about your fall last week… Glad you’re OK now. I’ve done that a lot of times in my lifetime. Scraped knees, hands and all. I was careless back then and I’m still careless now.
I loved the ‘Niagara Falls’ website… You were so lucky to have the chance to go there… That and the museums and aquarium. The roaring of waterfalls is one of my favourite sounds as well the sound of rain landing against the window.
Another picture on the way to you. Not very exciting. Mr Lennon was OKJ by me. Yoko, also….she brought him out of himself.
That was a very nice thing you said about “Yo”. I listen to Beatle songs and interview clips for 2 hours every Sunday morning. He was unhappy with the middle class suburban lifestyle rut he had got into. Seeing her, on the side at first, he apparently saw a door into another reality, a reality leading to him to get “out of himself”. She’s an artist, he’s was an artist, and they both had traveled to far places… Too bad they got started the way they did.. the wreckage of a marriage.
I saw a one hour YouBoob program on “Cindy” sometime back. She talked about how they met as young people – on through the breakup and some about John’s family she knew while courting and then married. She struck me as one classy dame. I was impressed !We all know what a great () singer Yoko is ! Her backup voice on the Christmas/war is over song is really nice ! That other stuff is her shtick.

I take it you still haven’t heard from Ron yet?
May you have a pleasant day.
Ron has not called; he’s funny that way. Says I will call you right back or at some later time……… then nothing. I will hear something eventually. My guess is the apartment check turned up “snake eyes”. He hasn’t called “Aunt” either. I would think success would warrant immediate notification. I would refer him Number Six’s place but that would be a long commute to his lady friend’s house in “Winny” (Western New York).
I believe Wesley, “The Chief”, passed back in the 80s. I was in my current location by then. He was a friend of Dad and his older brother, John, from back in the 1930s, as boys in that long ago city of Buffalo neighborhood. He taught those palefaces the ancient Indian game of lacrosse. Referred to his people as “Indians” too ! He had made some trips to Wounded Knee back in the ‘70s when they were having their own “troubles”. “Buff” was a heavy drinker. I once asked him during a bout how many he had had and his reply; "A pro doesn’t count". He didn’t play futbol though.
I have enjoyed hearing rain….. when I was inside and it was outside. I like not so much moisture since moving west.
My “leakage” from the fall was red. Scraped my shins on the weed whacker I had left on the floor after having recharged it. It is a 12 volt Ryobi I found in the trash a few years back. Works great !Our school took us to the “Falls” in ’69 when they had shutoff the U.S. side to study the effects of erosion and to see if and what they might do to slow it down. The Niagara River connects Lake Erie to Lake Ontario, passing the cities of Buffalo and the Tonawandas on its way. In a big bunch of years the falls would wear all the way back to Erie and so, no more “Falls”. Time to go out and rug shampoo the car seats.A happy tippling Tuesday to you !
