Today’s strip is funny , that drop of beer has earned our Hero Andy a lifetime of married bliss , gallons of beer at Flo’s expence , slightly burned cooking and money to lose at the races , my avatar is a picture of a Ford Model T, maybe Andy owned one like it when he was in the Army during WWII:o)
In his early years Andy didn’t seem as careful with his ale as he is now. Today’s Andy would not have splashed the beer in his eye unless someone splashed it for him.
@Number Three yesterday I was glad that our mutual friend @Number Six is OK , my avatar is of a Vintage Ford model T , my dad had one like it in 1940 when we lived in Africa , I have a photo of it with my late sister Mary as a baby sitting in it , today on Facebook I got very sad because one of my best friend’s mum died just tree months after his dad passed away , sorry if I have made you sad .today’s strip is funny for a change , our hero Andy must have missed the drop of beer that splashed into his eye but at least he won Flo over :o) hope you have a nice weekend young Lady
I’m very sorry to hear about your friend. They say you can die of a “broken heart” which I don’t know whether is true or not.
Remember that Ancestry DNA test I done over a year ago? My results have completely changed. Everybody’s has because there has been an update.
My results are now: 74% English, Wales and Northwestern Europe, 14% Ireland & Scotland, 7% Middle East, 3% Germany and 2% France. I am no longer 1% North African which was my favourite one. Ancestry states that DNA doesn’t change but the science and technology they use to test it does. Sorry if this was boring. I now have 5 ethnicities instead of 7. I’m also no longer Scandinavian and Iberian Peninsula.
She could see his eyes? On another note, the most interesting part of my trip to the zoo was seeing the porcupines being fed. They were really enthusiastic and energetic, scurrying around, their quills spread out like peacock feathers.

Typical of Andy! I don’t know how poor Flo’s stood it for so many years! She must have taken her marriage vows very seriously! :)

I still think Andy Capp and Moose Miller are related.

Aside from the suggestion that their marriage was founded on a pretense…
…Flo saw his eyes? We never have- but then, she’s married to him.

Instead of the classic “can I buy you a drink?”, Andy asked Flo to buy him a beer. Should have been a warning for her.

Really? In one of Smythe’s classics, Flo tripped over him on the ground where he was lying drunk. That was when they first met.
