i would say that proves Andy is a character!

Andy can scrap that interview.

Why does Capp look so downtrodden?

He’s generally happy to be unqualified for ANY job.

Andy actually desiring a job? Is it April Fool’s day?

I’m surprised Andy didn’t punch his lights out for that callous remark!

Andy could be a bouncer with that sort of character reference.

Think that might be called a “left-handed reference”.

This is one of the funniest I’ve seen of Andy Capp over the years. Made me laugh.. most just a grin or snicker.

Wow… Andy actually made the effort to apply for a job! Will wonders never cease…

Andy is certainly good at starting disputes, not so sure about his ability to resolve them peacefully.

If Mr Capp can throw combos, he got a job and a pint every night on the job!

As if Andy had actually wanted that job in the first place.

Andy’s resolved more than his share of disputes. It’s just a question of means to an end.
