I feel certain that that is English in those word balloons…

but that’s about it———I sure miss the ‘word balloon dialogue’ that used toappear here.—-it’s just , for the most part, illegible

I even use Ctrl+scroll ‘up’ (Win 7) and all it does is increase the distortion, so all I can deduce is that there are Soaring Phrases, Declarative Sentences and Brave Words are uttered.. Somewhere in there I’m sure Sandy says “Arf !” (always has, always will)

And that was the end of it. I couldn’t believe that was it. So I continued the story with the evil doctor escaping from his prison. Well there is a little more…

I read ahead and there’s a lot of sockdolager remarks, popeye remaining mute and Sandy, ever vigilant, comments “arf” at least twice weekly. Don’t forget your decoder rings and it’s secret message; “Drink Ovaltine”… or was it a code word for passing into East Germany back in the ’50’s ? We’ll never know…
