COSTUMED CRIMEFIGHTERS ACADEMY – Online (for the duration of the emergency)Review Lesson #2: Vehicles Good Morning! Our aspiring protagonist has a good resource in that he has a means of transportation suitable to the deep northern forest in which he has his base of operations. While a motorcycle with a sidecar may not seem like much, it does give him agility and speed, an advantage over even all-terrain four-wheeled vehicles. Of course, he should be careful to remove the sidecar while going on solo runs incognito in order to “blend in” with the general population. (And we do hope he hasn’t plastered his bike with the same logo he wears on his costume; we’ll get to logos in another lesson.) Should he become successful in his chosen profession, however, he’s going to find that a vehicle in keeping with his mission can be tricky; no one is going to take him seriously if he’s driving, say, a Volkswagen Beetle, (however “tricked out” it may be) and a classic from the late 50s-early 60s might only impress fans of low riders. The best option, of course, is a custom-built vehicle that can be adapted to whatever he needs for his mission. Naturally, however, these can be frightfully expensive, and we do not yet know what our candidate has in the way of financial resources. (Research Where does he get those wonderful toys?, B. Wayne, Class of 1939, Dean Emeritus)
