Sorry if this has been broached earlier, but I just returned to the Annieverse and am wondering if these three men are based on any particular old-time movie cowboys?

SAM’S SCHOOL FOR SUPERVILLAINS – Bayonne, Marsailles, Whitechapel Lesson #9: Hindrances. We knew it – our budding bad guy’s heavy-handed tactics have not only pushed the cowboy trio into complete, mule-headed intransigence but have also started the kid’s brain working and analyzing the situation. And her “Daddy’s” on his way, which means she’ll have all his resources at her disposal. Whoever he is, this guy has dug a hole for himself already – and he’s only just started on his plan, whatever it is. (We’re still waiting for information from Henchman #66.) One of the hallmarks of our school is that antagonists have Plans “B” through several alphabets available that can help them save the plan (we have, after all, a very good chess club), so we’ll stay with him to see how things proceed. Maybe he’ll have enough “moxie” to come up with a good fallback plan… that will also save his application to our school.
