Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for February 05, 1998
February 04, 1998
February 06, 1998
Transcript:
Arlo answers the phone, "Joe's Pool Room! Joe speaking!" Arlo hands the phone over to Janis. Janis, on the phone, says, "No, he doesn't always answer the phone like that." Janis explains, "He looks at the caller ID and knows it's you, Mother."
When I don’t recognize the incoming number, I’ve begun to answer as a business. Recently, I didn’t and a mature, male voice said, “Grandfather?”, and I went into a hotel routine. This was obviously a scam, and later I wished I had instead respo, “Jimmy, is that you? Thank goodness you called. I’ve just killed your Grandmother and there’s blood all over, and you need to help me cleanup before the police get here.” And then hangup.
