I’ve been thinking about packing in the garage next trip, because our Ragdoll, Huckleberry, knows what getting the suitcases out means. It’s so heartbreaking to leave him behind like that!
When I get home, the cat loves me and tells me how much I was missed, until the cat remembers I was the one that left – and then I get a good swat for being gone too long. Like this: “I love you I missed you so much I’m so glad you’re back… where were you, you B” <Whap!>

Our cats rarely gave us a hard time after we returned from being gone overnight. Instead, they pouted for several hours and gave us the cold shoulder.

Our cats get mad if we leave them with a cat sitter too long and “miss” the litter box.
