You are so very right, Aunty.

Okay, Auntie. After a long time, you are hearing from me.

I used to be bad about keeping in touch with my relatives.

I now have Fridays off – I use part of the day to call my cousin and my sister (along with myself, the sole survivors of my father’s side of the family) – they had the good sense to retire. I’m lucky to have the day off.

As I talk to them, I pace around my pool. Between the both of them, I’m good for a couple of miles on my FitBit.

That is why I have no friends… It seems I was the only one trying to communicate with them.. I realized that and stopped!

There’s a saying about that, Aunty: “Who needs enemies when they have friends like you?”

Same old song everywhere.

Amen to that,auntie! Been sayin’that for years to all those “so-called” friends…..

And conversely, if I hear from you and you don’t hear back from me, well…

And so, both waiting for the other, never speak again… ☺

We hear you, Aunty.
