The least Hammie could have done was take Wren off her, uhmm, hands.

My Mom used to say that if you can’t find anything to do, I’ll find you something. Most of the time, it was a chore.

They were bored yesterday, too, with Darryl flying a kite.

spring break coming up – they’ll have 9 days in a row with “nuttin to do”

Don’t kids have chores any more? My mom would have put us to work on doing dishes or sorting laundry while she watched us AND did another job.

I remember talking to my mom,she send me to the store to get something she’d forgotten and let me keep the change!!! Really big deal!!!

My three girls learned real quick not to say “There’s nothing to do” as their mother and I always could come up with a chore or two to occupy them.

it’s called sarcasm… which some people don’t get.

Wanda, do you really want Hammie cooking dinner, or doing the dishes. How about the laundry, is one box of soap enough or should he put in two? Should the water be hot or super hot when he puts all the laundry in the washing machine at once. Who will you choose to watch Wren, remembering that the entertainer is the one she will probably imitate. I suppose if you want to eat off the good paper plates then Hammie and Zoe could set the table for you though.

Teach the kids how to help you out so they can learn to do for themselves.

Sarcasm is lost on Hammie.

The childhood is the best phase of life. Of course, parents make it that way, undoubtedly.

He hasn’t quite gotten down the concept of sarcasm yet, but Mom is most definitely trying to teach it…..

Only Hammie would miss the sarcasm.

Many jobs of which she could delegate to them.

It’s not fair (and generally pointless) to use sarcasm on the mentally unarmed, Wanda.

Kids don’t see all the work their parents do in the house. They think everything is done as if by magic. But I was a kid once who was bored. I walked down the street to a family member’s house or a friend’s house, rode my bike around the neighborhood, built Lego houses, played the Atari. There was loads of stuff to do. And way too much to do now!

Sarcasm is lost on the kids…

Hammie & Zoe are old enough to help out w/ chores! She should make them do that!
