Like a bad recurring dream, the memory of Catholic boarding school, cringing in my seat, sure the priest would call on me to congregate a verb. What do I carry with me 50 years later? “Semper fi” and “Carpe diem.”
I don’t think I know the nominative plural present participle of anything! I used to be able to recite the entire “Cremation of Sam McGee” poem from memory, though, if that helps.

Is there an antidote to onions? Fresh sprigs of mint, perhaps?
