Lottie actually does raise a fair point…Grumpaw always attempted to change time through Calvin, but never was so proactive enough to try it himself, or so he’s revealed thus far, which now strikes me as interesting, especially as this wouldn’t be the most effective way to try and alter history. I don’t buy the “he can’t fit in the portal” excuse—he’s known about the portal’s existence for many years, more than enough time to work out some way to get through it himself if he really wanted. Makes me wonder if he has some other reason for doing it the way he has that hasn’t become clear yet…

…or maybe I’m just reading too much into it and the comic just runs with the girl’s reasoning here. It’s sometimes hard to guess with this comic…which is part of what makes it fun.

LOTTIE, DON’T LEAVE SHAUNA OUT ON YOUR RETURN, SHE’S SMART ENOUGH FOR THE NOBLE, SHE COULD POSSIBLY FIX WHAT YOU TWO SCREWED UP . . . . RECKON?

What about Miss Melanie and Ryan? What if they’re pashing right now??? Is it right to tear them apart? Is it fair to Miss Melanie?

Of course, as we know from the “original” timeline, Shauna and Keith aren’t meant to be together in all possible worlds any more than Amy and Ryan are. Maybe it’s best just to live in the world as it is rather than in a different world that might have been. There’s no guarantee that either one is “better” than the other, or that one is “right” and the other is “wrong”. They’re just “different”.
