There is actually scientific reasoning behind this. People with injuries that never completely heal need high air pressure to eliminate the pain. A sudden drop in the air pressure causes the pain to flare up. And a sudden drop in the air pressure is associated with rain.
Coming from the Noroeste Pacífico, I can tell it’s going to rain by looking at little ripples in the puddles; looking at the dark clouds are a 50-50 chance according to my judgement.
