My grandmother (RIP) insisted on going to a hotel on South Padre Island because she got a call about winning some wonderful prize. We told her it was a scam, but she insisted on going. When she found out it was a scam, (they were selling condo units) she was SO mad. She gave them a good chewing out too!

I think that the old adage “don’t talk to strangers” (as in “don’t trust a stranger”) applies to adults as well as children.
