In the late thirties I was allowed over the limit and then I would stop a the store and get an apple. I would spend all of the restof the day to read and take them back the next day. I don’t readthat many today but at 83 my nook has 30 books on it and Ihave just about that many to hold in my hand to read. 2 newspapers a day. My family were printers and I enjoy the printcopies.
She can only read one book at a time. Taking out 4 or 5 at a time is one thing. This is just limiting the selection for other folks. If she can haul them home in a coaster she apparently doesn’t live that far away.
I once saw a man who brought back 3 containers of library books; he put them one by one outside the library elevator until all 3 containers were next to the elevator, ready to be put into it. He went up the elevator with them. No kids were with him.My library district doesn’t allow us to renew our checkouts if someone else is waiting for the library materials himself to check out. Sometimes I’m on the waiting list for those checkouts.

The library let her borrow THAT many books? I’m impressed they didn’t let her borrow the whole stock!
