Just how fast is this idiot driving? He won’t have his license very long at this rate.

I used to drive a school bus. The kids would always shout, “Faster! Faster!” whenever I approached a speed bump. I am afraid, I disappointed them by slowing down for it.

My kids when I drove a school bus would tell me when the deputy sheriff was on my tail to check my speed. He’d get real close because we were on dirt roads and dust is kicked up pretty good. The kids would yell, faster, faster. I would, then tell everyone to hold on when we were coming to a stop. I’d slam on the brakes and the deputy would be serving all over the place to keep from ramming the bus.I do believe I had the maturity of the kids I was haul back then. It’d never go over now.

For 12 years my school bus route featured a significant bump in one of the roads. The place you really wanted to be was in a seat right over the rear axle. Especially as grade-school kids, the bus driver kept us disciplined by threatening to creep over that bump. She did the creep more than once in my 12 years riding that bus.

For grades 7-12, I rode a school bus, and there were no speed bumps on the route, but one road had a BUMP sign just west of a bump that would send riders in the back of the bus upward. But nobody hit his or her head on the ceiling of the bus as a result.

We had a set of rail road tracks that were SOOO bad, that even when the bus came to the proper stop and door opening and all that, when he’d floor it for us, by the time the back went over, you could hit your head if you were already bouncing (which is why we bounced o/c)
