Man: I'd like to return this battery. It doesn't work. Baldo: Sir, this receipt shows you bought this battery 10 years ago. Man: So I'm not getting my money back? Baldo: no. Man: you're losing a good customer! Baldo: Uh..where?
Turns out L.L. Bean amongst others guarantee their stuff for life. There was a news report of a guy who wore out his moccasins and was able to get a new pair.
That guy’s doing pretty good. Most batteries last 4-5 years…(Although my wife had a Civic that had the O.E.M. battery, and it was still fine after 15 years…go figure)
Some return policies are that generous. When I worked for Disney’s catalog back in the late 90’s we had a return policy that stated anyone could return anything for any reason no matter when they bought it. My trainer said if a guy calls wanting to return a Disney shirt he bought 10 years ago that’s all faded, we have to accept the return and either give him his money back or give him an exchange. It was crazy!!
Lead is toxic. Please don’t send your old car batteries to landfill. There are places that will pay a dollar or two for old car batteries, the lead is used in new batteries.

Take the battery to the landfill, sir. (Yes, I know there’s a place for recycling electronics, but I couldn’t think of its name at the moment.)

The last panel is laugh-out-loud funny for anybody who worked retail.
