I reckon her pockets are stuffed with birdseed.

So, you have the one smart, talented kid (Gracie) and a nice but average kid (Baldo) what is it like for a child to have a super-sibling that you’re always hear people saying wonderful things about? Is it crushing for the ego? (I was the smart talented one, need to ask my siblings how it felt).

Baldo often remarks that his sister is for the birds.

Yeah, yeah, she’s good at everything. She just can’t get out of the first grade. This cartoon must be about how she sees herself.

Does Gracie ever watch old Alfred Hitchcock movies?

The hat is right; the jacket could be a Norfolk jacket; she should be wearing Bermuda shorts and cuffed knee socks with comfortable shoes. ( The birders wore that rig in a Cary Grant movie years ago.)
