Hola Dry. I have been getting up at 5AM since the time change.

Cleo and Dry good morning to you two! im about to fix some breakfast, but i just wanted to drop in for a few mins.

Cleo 5am is WAY to early! lol

Got back from town. We had lunch at a local tapas place and went to a gallery we like who had a special 20% off one item of your purchase so LilG and I each bought something, but not Christmas gifts. My best friend is married to my cousin and they are about the only ones I exchange gifts with anymore, but they have millions and my cousin is one of those types that can not walk into a store without buying something, so buying for them is fruitless. I think that I might just suggest we stop the gift giving thing. For my birthday my friend bought me a baking book after I had told him that I did not need or want another book on baking.

cleo Don’t you just hate that? I’m at the point, I don’t know what I want for Christmas! I have enough stuff, and if I see something I want, if I can swing it, I buy it. Nothing extravagant of course, just a sweater, slacks, earrings, you know.

Dry and Cleo I thought i was the only one who didnt know what they wanted for Christmas if they wanted anything at all! I just dont get into that. I havent for a while. I guess when you come from a divorced family and you never got what you wanted when u were young you just kind of stop wanting things and stop looking forwared to it. who knows. :-/ sigh!

I like your avatar Tabby. Christmas became a nothing holiday for me once any kids I knew went passed the magic stage. LilG and I were going to go to the west coast of Vancouver Island for Christmas to watch the storms on the ocean, but decided to try and go earlier, to be sure good restaurants in the small town of Tofino would be open.

cleo yes, Christmas in that respect has lost its magic, but if you’re a believer, I guess that shouldn’t matter so much. Halloween and the 4th of July have lost their magic too, since my kids have grown up.
