Yes, me too. I have to read at least 50 pages a day in the current book that I am reading. It is “FRANK the voice” and is a thick biography of Frank Sinatra. I like the author, he wrote, with Jerry Lewis a book about Dean Martin told through Jerry’s voice, that I really enjoyed. This is a good read as well.
I’ll bet it is interesting. I’ve read some good biographies on Steve McQueen, Marlene Dietrich, Errol Flynn, Burns and Allen, Jackie Gleason, Dean Martin( but not the one you are referring to), Vince Lombardi. I don’t get much time to read these days. I will read Saturday Evening Post on road trips. I enjoy that magazine.
im sitting here in my jacket and long pants and socks mind you. i hate socks. with a space heater thing right by myside. still feezing! i have chicken bload
Hola JFri, Akenta, Cleo, Dry y Tabby!
When I was little, I would re-gift my older siblings something they already had. I wanted to give them a gift, so I would take something of theirs about a week before their b-day or Christmas and wrap it up. I got famous for that.
Woke up feeling flu-ish. After I showered, I went back to sleep. Still not feeling so great though.
Raining all day here. LilG is in heaven, our new toilet was installed today so she does not have to trudge down the stair in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
Dry, I was in grade school when I did that. It was fun though. When I got older my siblings got their payback. They would get me a Timex watch and wrap it up in a Rolex box, etc.
Cleo, Yea! I know you feel much better about LilG not have to trudge downstairs. Yea again!
Thanks for the hugs, sweetie.
cleo Yes I remember you telling me that. It’s funny how peope assume when you’re an ony child that you were spoiled rotten! I certainly wasn’t and if I recall, neither were you. And at times, being an only isn’t so much fun. Especially when, in later years, all the burden falls on your shoulders. Of course, even in families where there are a few siblings, they get to bickering, etc. I’d like to smack some of them upside the head, the ones who have no reason to be like that.
Dry, I have no complaints of being an only child, but then I know no better. I think that my imagination became as fine tuned as it is because of it. It is funny and maybe representative of my being an only child, but I live a whole other life in my dreams that is every bit as real as my awake life and…my dreams are always filled with people around me. I am always in a group of people.
There will be H e !! to pay if they don’t get their respective butts back here! Carmy are your machetes sharpened up and ready to go? Just in case, you know! :-D

It isn’t a likely story. My siblings got me back several times.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Carmy, See, I’ll bet you guys had fun doing all that stuff!
cleokaya about 14 years ago
I too left you a response at Citizen Dog Dry.
Dry, I too am an only child. I have two female cousins that are like sisters to me, but I only saw them during July & August of our early years.

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Hey CLEO! My hug was bigger! Geez! What happened? Did your finger get tired pushing the symbol?
carmy about 14 years ago
I had some leftover chicken soup. Hung out with the family and then took a little nap. I have to go see Citizen dog now.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Homemade chicken soup, hope it made you feel better!
carmy about 14 years ago
It sure did. I guess that’s why I got so relaxed and took a little nap.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
So where did our “gents” get to, leaving two BEAUTIFUL ladies unescorted? A pox on their heads!
carmy about 14 years ago
A double pox on the scoundrels!
The Duke 1 about 14 years ago

I already had the chicken pox in the first grade. So there! Dry, my weaponry is always sharpened and ready.
The Duke 1 about 14 years ago
No, I did NOT mean bearing arms!
The Duke 1 about 14 years ago
Well, then, Carmy, it must be SHINGLES!
carmy about 14 years ago
Bite your tongue, scoundrel!! I never ever had shingles. I recently had my flu and pneumonia shots, so I’m good.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago

carmy about 14 years ago
I guess he ran out of excuses. Dry, I’m sorry but I’m getting really sleepy. The weapons are available to you. Be careful!
