Marg is that a Dogwood blossom? I see the cross in the center. Do you know the Legend of the Dogwood Tree?

I accidentally erased my first comment when I was erasing the multiple posts to Akenta!

Dogwoods have the red spots on the edges of the petals (of which there are only 4), Those look more like cherry blossoms to me. Cache is a little less gimpy this morning but we have a long ways to go.

JFri each day will get better, and then Cache will be good as new! All that red near the end of the flower blossom looks to me like the stamen. I’m looking deep inside the bud and where I see the red dots.

Well good people I am heading out to a plant sale at the community college and then driving LiLG down to Burlington to pick up her new car. About the only thing this car can’t do is drive itself.

cleo, you should have looked at truecar.com to see what kind of deal you could have gotten. It hooks you up with the best deal in your area.

JFri, somebody mentioned truecar.com to me recently and I forgot all about it.

So cleo, did you get the car? What kind of plants did you buy? Hmm? Hmm?

We did get the car Dry and it looks very nice. I have just looked in the window. The car I drove was in Bellingham, but this is the color (silver) she wanted and has the features she wanted as well.

We bought flowering red currant, red osier dogwood, evergreen huckleberry, goat’s beard, and mock orange. I may be forgetting a plant or two.

Goat’s beard? Not familiar with that one.

Just googled it. Odd looking plant, pretty flower.

cleo, it was probably some incredibly handsome dude you had lunch with recently on the Oregon coast that mentioned truecar.com.

I instantly thought about you but didn’t think that LilG was shopping for a car at that time, but now that you mention it I can even remember where we were when you told me. My mind is like a sieve, tell me something and it goes in and leaks back out again. Sorry JFri!

We got all of our plants into the ground. It was a beautiful day here, the sun felt good on my back. Dry, most of the plants that we bought were bare root.

So the plants were bare and so was I. :-)

Do you know we have started an air assault against Libya?

I would love to see someone planting shrubbery in their BARE NEKKID BIRTHDAY SUIT! Hope you didn’t get any THORNS in some VITAL areas! :-D

Hey JFri, did you catch a glimpse of the supermoon. It is absolutely incredible. I am so glad that we have a clear night. The moon is humongous.
