I don’t think I want to go to Walt and Julie’s house after all.

Not unless Reggie’s in a MUCH better mood.

I haven’t given them a answer yet… But I think I’ll invite them….

And all of you… to my bakery… not the pie shop… I have a full service bakery near my salon.

It’s where we do all the banana bread for the Monkey and the Tiki…. and the regular bread as well.

 

Right now I have a whole lot of red white and blue frosted cupcakes … chocolate ones, and vanilla, and marble…

The monkey ordered way too many for during the fireworks.

You may have already had some…

But somebody needs to eat them.

First fall goes to Reg! Best two out of three?

How do you keep up with the Sheriff’s insatiable demand for banana bread?

A line from a current song on the radio: “Don’t need a permit if you got no drive”. I’ll bet the Sheriff will figure out a way.

Terrific film! The ladies used to consider Paul Newhound quite the looker.

The scene with the hard-boiled eggs; I could hardly make it through that myself. And with Strother Muttin chewing the scenery, well, …………..

I love Cleo’s dreamy blue contact lenses for this role. Above the UND, seems to be a boy basset -the warden? directing the search crew.

The human version does not have the distinctive curvature of the basset version, but you will find it below.

Oooh… that’s not Cleo…. that’s Paul Newhound….

And those aren’t contacts…. they’re his own dreamy blue eyes.

And his soft, warm tan fur.

And, I believe, it’s his handsome, and obviously …um… male … silhouette on top….

unless it’s Strother Muttin but I’d rather think it’s Newhound.

But don’t worry…. I bet most of the bassets can eat a lot of eggs.

And yeah, the human is a lot more jagged.

I wonder whether he had to wear contacts, to try to make his eyes as blue as …. sigh…. Paul Newhound’s.

 

As for the banana bread…. OMG.

A monkey can eat a lot of banana bread.

We employ a team of little monkeys just to peel bananas!

Some are bartenders at the Tiki… like this fellow….

but they mostly only work there on Tuesday and Thursday nights, so they have lots of free time.

And even the ones that are too short to tend bar can peel bananas at the bakery….

and even sometimes in the Tiki kitchen, to keep the big daiquiri grinder supplied.

One of the sweatiest movies eve made, so I hear.

Reggie appears to have Walt in his grips.

Remember the girl washing the car? Joy Harmon?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Cool Paw Luke. We’ll have to see if it’s being played on any of our channels. I do know that when Paul Newhound is in a movie, all us girls sigh a lot. (It’s one of the reasons I’ve enjoyed watching IndyCar so much. Paul was a car owner and he’d be on camera in his natural persona. Sigh)
