Yes Colin, your book is indeed overdue.

Cleo is a true professional. Holding the mike at a distance when she is n full howl, thus avoiding destruction of the sound system. She don’t need no microphone!

What are you doubting, Colin? Your masculinity? maturity? empathy? intelligence? Cleanliness? Haircut? Plywood inserts? Well you may be right on one or all, but we don’t judge too harshly on Ballard Street. Except for the cleanliness item.

Cleo may feel blue, but she doesn’t look it…or purply.

If the basic doubts don’t get you, the not-so-basic ones will.

    Oh gosh!

I wrote my comment here hours ago…. and I just discovered that I never actually posted it!

Since then, I’ve posted on other comics, dozed off, searched the web….

and when I came back to see what was happening here…. … ooops!

Anyway… I started out by saying I was a bit late to welcome you….. and now I’m even later!

I still want to say hi to everybody, and tell anyone who may have wandered here not knowing what this is about….

We’re standing here outside Colin’s house, waiting to go in and talk about

the July 19th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    Which is on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Colin invited us over, and told me he just wanted to brag a little….

which, I admit, is not my favorite sort of invitation….

but now he seems a bit unnerved.

Did he plan to show us all up, with his superior knowledge of Billie Howladay records, or some other arcane trivia….

but now he’s unsure of himself?

    C’mon, Colin…. it doesn’t matter…. we’re all friends here.

As Dennis said… we don’t judge.

Perhaps you’d feel a bit more confident without a big book over your head.

X_Tech says it’s overdue…. would you like me to return it, so you don’t have to face Mrs. Abernathy, the librarian, all by yourself?

Lets go in and have those cookies you bought.

Meanwhile…. here’s the incomparable musical howling of the one and only Cleo Clifford….

turning herself into the very incarnation of the late, great Billie Howladay.

Two stars, two divas, two larger than life personalities….

    melded into one amazing legend.

    Wow.

I guess I should show you the human version I found.

Kinda sad…. they tried to do it without a single basset.

    “I never actually posted it”

so, the next time you guys find the previous day’s comic instead of something for today, it’s

because I did the same thing you did, Susan.

I just unintentionally did not post it

Good morning, everybody!I mentioned a few weeks back that I hadn’t been feeling well, but thought I was all better. Unfortunately, that proved not true. I can’t say what exactly IS wrong (that’s still to be determined), but I haven’t been up to spending long periods of time at the computer. I’ve been trying to keep up with C&C, but I don’t always get here in a timely fashion to comment, nor have I been in the mood. I’m hopeful that I’ll find out soon what is going on.So, I just wanted to let you all know the reason I’ve been among the missing. No need for a whole bunch of get well wishes. I know that you are ALL super supportive people and that, of course, we ALL wish the best for everyone who comes here and may be having a rough time now and then. I just wanted to say that I’m not giving up on C&C and all of you…….I’m just on “hiatus”.Like I said, I HAVE been keeping up with all the comments, and I want to take this opportunity to also thank you all for the continuing great comments on Tuesdays and Thursdays, even though I’ve been posting reruns. Sometime…..SOON (hopefully!)…there WILL be new posters!

By the way, GoComics, in their infinite wisdom, just makes it harder and harder to post a comment that is well-constructed and possible to edit. It wasn’t my intention to have such a long and big paragraph above. Sorry about that.

Who better than a bassett to sing the blues. They’re naturals.

What a CLASSY Lady! I always say that Cleo is a terrific actress, but this time she tops even herself!

    Love the sparklies.

This one is beautiful – far superior to that lame human version. I love the sparklies, too.
