Fortunately, Jerry Van Amerongen continues to have high regard for his readers. Consistently funny comic.

I love how he dug up the yard for no purpose whatsoever. Nothing spoils a good puff on the pipe like that.

This is the comic that should be titled “non sequitur” (If you don’t know what that means, look it up).

Hey all you 2008 posters, you are starting to be a force to be reckoned with. We may get crowded out in 2018! More power to JVA, I am glad he was starting to get more recognition.

As for digging a hole and moving on, we have a number of Ballard Street dogs that do that. Conrad, your efforts are not required.

Robin Hound again? NH is that a goof-up?

If I let him just stand there and quibble, we don’t get no kibble. So let’s give the fish a nibble.

I’m thinking maybe Nighthawks posted Episode 2 again just because he posted it late, the first time….

and some of us (me) didn’t see it in time to comment on it.

I did get to read it much later… and I went back and read the discussion, rather too late to join in…..

but if that’s why you did this, NH…. thanks!

What I did want to say is… I love the pun….

whether or not it was intended.

    LOL

Anyhow, I have news for anyone who’s a Ballard Street fan but usually only sees it in the Cleo forum, and missed my posts on today’s (August 22, 2018) strip.

    (Lookin’ at you StelBel…. )

Sheriff MonkeyBlues appears to be banned!

Yesterday, the 21st, was his birthday…. I e-mailed him, for the first time in about a year, to tell him “Happy Birthday”, and that I’d raised a toast to him on Ballard St.

I also said I’d been spending more time on the old strips, commenting on Cleo, than on the new ones, and I gave him a link.

He wrote back to say he’d posted in both places… but I couldn’t find his posts.

When I finally got a chance to see his profile, I realised I’d never seen any of his comments that were on it.

I can’t imagine why he’d be banned…. and I plan to write the moderators to ask for his return.

If you do it too…. use moderator@GoComics.com

…. not the Contact Us form, which goes to Customer Service and delays your message.

Anyway…. here’s the Monkey’s post, that he meant to leave here, for StelBel….

“HaY SteL… SuSun Reminded Me To PaSS ThRu an Say HOWDY..!!! I barely have time to trim My noze Hares and Feets NayLs… buttah Promiss ta Stop By more Offin… Take Kare..!!! (yer Munky)”

There’s more about it on today’s Ballard St….

and a few more posts we never saw on his profile…

sorry for the mixup!….no, Susan I didn’t rerun Monday’s cartoon because it was posted a little late….it was a simple screw-up…

a senior moment , if you will…….upon rising this morning and seeing that the wrong cartoon was posted , I deleted it and

substituted the intended cartoon—episode three of the Robin Hound series…

I apologize for the screwup; don’t give up on me, guys!….I’ll get this right yet.

I got to sleep in this morning, so I was treated to seeing the correct Robin Hound episode.

Me thinks that Fair Maiden doesn’t want to be the maid for a band of sordid merry men! She’d have to pick up after their messes, do their laundry, cook their meals. And the bones from their chicken dinners alone would take hours to clean up! Hang tough Fair Young Maid Marian!!

Promise her a luxurious enclosed privy with a door, and she might be tempted. That seems to be the first thing most young maids look for. That and a hot bath.

I think its safe to say that Robin is not destined for a career in real estate.
