That poor dog sure goes through a lot in this cartoon. A least he got to play with a sailboat last week.

Official MountainMan/RocketScientist update: His surgery went exceedingly well, and he might actually go home Friday! Love the hospital, staff and of course our doctor. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! I’m sure he’ll be pretty sore, but it’ll be worth it.

JVA drives me crazy with his headlines in newspapers. You feel sure you can read them, ..but no.

Aha! The Red Baron is the Red Basset Baron! No wonder he was so successful.

One thing I dislike more than clowns are dogs dressed as clowns

Authenticism abounds. The Red Basset is flying that Fokker triplane with its synchronized Spandaus.

On the other hand, the clown could use some cheering up.

It’s another exciting romp through…. um…. “history”…. with the real story of the Red Baron….

I should have known he was a basset, by his cunning and his derring-do!

I guess you should never bring a beagle to a basset fight, either.

We’re supposed to be going over to Gus and Doris’ house to talk about the strip…

I hope everyone will come for a bit…. but then I’m going to suggest we all go to the Tiki.

Doris told me a little while ago that she thought when we came, we could help cheer up Gus…

but I don’t think Gus wants cheering up.

And I think little Bingo wants a break from the clown suit.

An hour or so at the Tiki cheers anyone up…. including Doris, whom I suspect is the one who needs it.

And Bingo can stay home and do doggie stuff.

Like dreaming of being the Red Baron, not BoBo the Clown.

Snoopy should have known better. Charlie Brown will just shake his head and pretend that he doesn’t know him.

My Favorite Part™ was when nighthacks killed Snoopy. Sad.

P.S. On the credits panel, it looks like the ""s" in “nighthawks” is drunk.
