Gene, sometimes your thoughts disappear when looking at a blank sheet of paper. But sometimes, it’s true, there are no thoughts there at all.

Cary Growl always had his adventures in a suit. Be sure to notice Mount Growlmore in the background.

Well, Gene, your first thought was, by definition, to write down your thoughts. So start with that, then see where it takes you.

Like Dennis, I found myself looking at Mt. Growlmore, and wondering who among our nation’s legendary basset leaders is immortalized thereon? Fred? Cleo (naturally)?

And, incidentally, a great picture! Jimmy Mapuppy is just so unctuous and smarmy he makes you want to take a shower.

So instead he drew a blank.

Do you think he’ll follow up by going west by southwest?

Wow…. the handsome, ever well-brushed Cary Growl, always wearing not just any suit, Dennis, but an impeccably tailored and pressed one… probably bespoke…

He never looked more than a few hours away from his groomer.

And the cool, icy blonde Eva Marie Saint Bernard… also well dressed, with never a wrinkle in a skirt that had to clamber over the rocky noses of Mount Growlmore.

The dry cleaning and dog grooming bills for this production must have been enormous!

I do wonder why the poster for a film titled “North by Northwest” has big arrows pointing East and South.

Grog… Maybe East by Southeast is next!

You know, I was going to add a few thoughts about Ballard St…. but like Gene… I seem to have none.

Looking backwards trying to avoid that plane and didn’t see the other one taking off from the runway to the right.

WOW! I love that movie, and I love this poster!!! And especially Cary Growl. He is always so elegant and debonair! No wonder all those blonds go for him.

I am inspired by your poster, Stel, that I’m going to pull the DVD off the shelves to watch tonight.
