How fancy can she be if she only has one wheel?

Fancy Nancy. Saving the planet while balancing two bags of groceries. What is she doing on Ballard Street?

    Hullo, Cleo gang!

Tonight we’re here to comment on

the Dec 18th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Which features one of the first major film roles of our budding basset star…

In a human movie, no less!

    Take a look, on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

The film was out there, before Cleo came in… some publicity had been done….

    some simple posters….

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/FileLibrary/ProductResources/Images/195701-L-LO.jpg

But the producers realised something was missing.

A spark, some energy…. a bit of charisma that only a dog…. and especially a basset…. can bring.

And more especially…. a rising star like Cleo Clifford!

Take another look at that all-human poster….

There’s a child where Cleo should be.

That’s when they realised…. how many kids do these people need, anyway?

You want empathy? You want pathos? Lose a kid, give ’em a dog!

Everybody loves a dog! Give ’em Cleo!

So…. the necessary parts were re-shot…. the poster redone….

    and voila!

A Christmas classic that lives on in multiple showings, decade after decade.

Would you guys like to go to the Tiki to discuss all this?

I think we can get the Hibiscus Room without a reservation….

It has a small TV/DVD combo that we can use to screen the movie, if you like….

    and if not, it’s OK.

We were sort of invited to go to “fancy Nancy” Chambers’ house, first…

But Nancy didn’t mention any food or anything….

and her husband will be home, as well.

So after a while, I can just say “Let’s all go to the Tiki!”

Cleo always finds a way into every portrait. I love the SNL version where they all kick the krap out of Potter.

I love today’s poster! Cleo’s appearance is so adorable. I guess that’s why she’s featured in so many movies now-a-days.

On a personal note……..get ready to wave all you folks who live near the Interstate 15 corridor. We’re heading out to San Diego to be with 3/4ths of our family for Christmas. So we’ll wave. We plan on 4 driving days because MyMountainMan needs to stop every hour or so and walk. He’s still considered to be at risk for blood clots from his hip replacement surgery.

    xoxo Happy Trails.

Cleo had to be there! How could it be a wonderful life without a dog?
