Sorry again, to those who didn’t see my apology, for not being able to get back here in time to do a side-by-side, when yesterday’s puzzle was finally uploaded.
And thanks again, Steve, for stepping in to pick up that horrendously difficult task…. in spite of all the hours involved.
Anyway… I want to welcome you all here today to comment on
I can’t believe Claude posses so little of the precious milk of human kindness…
I always thought he was a nice guy…. but holding a camera seems to make him forget that he’s looking at a real person.
Are people really being changed so much, by constantly viewing life through a lens or on a screen?
Are we forgetting our basic humanity?
Gosh!
And what about you, Cleo?
Didn’t watching all those Lassie videos as a puppy teach you anything?
Wait… that’s a bad example…. I seem to recall another strip where you didn’t exactly shine at playing “Cleo to the Rescue” in Lassie mode.
Disappointed though I am in Claude and Cleo’s actions….
I have to say that I’m impressed by something about the animation in today’s strip.
It’s simple, I know…. not a full motion extravaganza, with a dizzying number of separate movements and scenes, like some of the later film and TV story animations.
But all the moving figures… well, one figure, in multiple scenes… seem to be moving independently….
the timing seems different in each panel. though maybe it’s the varied positioning fooling my eyes.
Or maybe that I’ve stared at it so long I’m getting…. sleeeepy…. and my eyes are..h..e..a..v…y…..

The really important thing about today’s strip is………..
The safety features work!!!!
How many cartoons are there that have a guy falling, and crashing? You’re a real humanitarian, Nighthawks.

Claude, you should have gotten closer and taken a selfie with him…….of course, staying an arm’s length away from him for safety reasons.
