However, it is a good way to attract the attention of those nice young men in white coats.

I think it’s rather creative, not to mention acrobatic.

Perhaps he has read too much Ray Bradbury.

There’s more than one way to pull a dandelion.

I’d like to be that nimble in my old age.

Russell’s doing alright. He can touch the ground with one hand while keeping one leg straight up & down. Sort of an inverted “L” shape. Plus his party hat is staying on his head! I think Marjorie is just jealous.

Now, I expect that Cleo has performed everything up to and including a full slobber.

Double dribbling? I think I’ve seen some guys cross the entire court and slam dunk without ever dribbling at all. In the Air!! Nothing but NET!!!

Happy Birthday, BRI-NO-MITE, if you stop by today….

And a good Sunday to all….

even if, like me, you’re still up, after midnight, on “Saturday night”.

Whenever you get here, it’s a good time to comment on

the June 2nd  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    It’s on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

A sports one again…. so right up my alley… NOT.

I kinda know what dribbling is in basketball…. and unfortunately, I know quite well what it is in basset hounds.

It’s also something we humans don’t look forward to in old age, and hope never happens.

In that latter context, double dribbling sounds even worse…. and disgusting in dogs…. (sorry, Cleo.)

    but incomprehensible in basketball.

I would have pictured someone dribbling two balls, one with each hand….

but I’m pretty sure that’s not it, even though I once saw the Harlem Globetrotters dribble several at a time.

Whatever it is, I guess it’s not allowed.

I can’t even say I know what Farside is talking about…. I’m picturing somebody flying….

but not even the Globetrotters can do that.

What’s wrong with the way Russell is pulling dandelions?

It’s graceful and athletic, gives him exercise…. and gets the job done.

I wish I could do it!

Thank you Dry, from yesterday…. and a good day to you.

And Nighthawks… I wrote you a long reply about yak….

    hope you saw it.

    Confession:

A few hours ago, I’d almost finished a long comment here, and somehow accidentally deleted it…. unsaved, of course… before I posted it.

I was so disgusted I went off to look at other comics…. and somehow…. I ..um… just woke up in my chair.

I’ll try to check back late in the afternoon…. in case I’ve forgotten something or somebody….

My neighbors could learn a thing or two from Russel. Their yard is overgrown with dandelions, foxtails and goat heads.

You have to admire anyone that can triple dribble.

I’ll be glad when Ballard Street starts reruns. (never thought I’d say that) Then I won’t keep missing it and having to go back when I get to Cow Town.

And after that unfortunate low-quality kibble mistake, she also committed a flagrant foul.

Would a tripple-dribble be a Tribble? I can see there could be trouble with that…

    @BaconBoy Camper… Oopsie…. My mistake!

You DID reply, but not here… It was to a comment that also started with “Happy Birthday Bri..” but in June of 2013.

As for whether that was one of the first birthday parties on Ballard Street…

The very first party for a person on Ballard Street was probably the virtual baby shower for Derrick Woods, a Sherpa cartoonist, and Ballard Street commenter…

I think it must have been around June or July, 2012.

I recently ran into the Memorial day parade we had that year, though, on the last Monday in May…. I’d call that a party.

All the pictures and half the commenters are missing, now…. but it’s still amazingly crazy.

I’ll never forget the first actual birthday party, though…

We were voting for a new sheriff… and we elected the then Inspector Monkey Blues to the post.

He had suggested the date, but then admitted to choosing it because it was also his birthday…

so we had birthday cake and such as well.

    A grand day, a grand party…. August 21st, 2012.

It started something… and we’d had quite a few more by the one you posted on.
