I don’t see a pond nearby. Is Corley just stripping down to dance in the grass? I think he can do his dance and get on his way to work, this time- but it is the beginning of a slippery slope.
It’s OK, Corley. After the layoff (basically at a perfect retirement age) I realized that I could allow things to slip away just a little bit too. New mown grass and puddles feel pretty darned good when you’re barefoot!
I love this poster, Stel. I only saw this movie once about 50 years ago. But that image of Errol Flea flying in that crate, trying to save the world with his stiff upper lip of determination. (sigh) Doesn’t get any better that this.

@FishStix: in this case, “It’s” means this particular morning things started to slip away.

We loved doodling those biplanes during class when I was a kid! But Stel certainly does a better job.

Howdy, Cleo pals and future fans….
A little site trouble again tonight…. and just when I thought all that was over, too.
I’m late… but not too late to welcome you all to the
Nov 7th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Featuring StelBel’s lovely poster for “Dawn Patrol”….
You can see it on Sherpa… and talk about it here…
which, as the old TV announcers used to say…. we now join in progress.
(Wish I could remember what they used to say that about. )
Wow… Errol Flea….
And biplanes, and dogfights…. maybe both kinds….
I know there are ladies out there…. even yes, some men…. who drool over Davey Nivhound, or even Basil Dogbone….
but I don’t get it…
especially not when Errol Flea is on the scene.
I’m not a war movie fan… but this one has WWI heroics and … um… did I mention that Errol Flea is in it?
Those eyes… those silky ears….
I wonder whether he likes long walks on the beach…. mmmm….
The humans tried to remake this, you know….
They imitated everything… they even used some guy trying to copy Errol Flea’s come-hither expression….
but his eyes are half as big…. and his ears are so short they’re completely hidden under his leather helmet!
Who’d want to walk him on the beach?
