That’s the second installment, for those who missed anything, of “The Maltese Basset”

in the August 6th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa.

I was afraid I’d have to cool my heels for a whole week before we’d see what happened…

but I think Sam Basset isn’t the type to be kept waiting.

Not to mention that Miss Behave seems ready to …

um… let’s just leave it at that….

I mean, she’s seems to be ready… at all times.

Nice to find a character who lives up to her name.

At least she keeps her records organised.

Very useful when there’s a need for contact tracing.

A girl never knows when she’ll be approached about contact tracing.

As for the curse… Sam Basset is way too hard-boiled to be bothered by a curse.

He’s walked the mean streets… and heard cursing that I’m sure would curl your delicate ears.

Still… Cleopatra… a priceless statuette… an ancient curse…

and a dame who admits to having had a lot of intruders….

This is a dangerous game.

Don’t forget to get a big retainer, Sam.

By the way… have they invented penicillin yet?
