…and it looked like so much fun at first — colorful and festive. Who knew it would turn dark and evil in the sitting room. Horrors!……………………………you just never really know your neighbors.
Radish, first thing I thought of when I saw your comment was the first verse of Poe’s “The Bells” HEAR the sledges with the bells - Silver bells! What a world of merriment their melody foretells! How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, In the icy air of night! While the stars that oversprinkle All the heavens, seem to twinkle With a crystalline delight; Keeping time, time, time, In a sort of Runic rhyme,To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells From the bells, bells, bells, bells, Bells, bells, bells - From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.
At the pinnacle of success, Stephen was abruptly downsized, a fate from which he has not recovered. Ruth in her zeal to help Stephen with the practical side of his therapy has somehow bridged the chasm between reality and we’re not sure what?? Her altogether warm hearted efforts and the misplaced but good intentioned support of their friends have simply reinforced the lingering tragedy. Tuesday has been designated as balloon and hand bell day. Monday was carpet and candles. Wednesday is rice and confetti. Thursday is sprinkled water and hymns. Friday is lazer lights and dry ice. Saturday is marching music and sparklers. Sunday is mood music and incense. Every other Monday is cake and cookies. The third Tuesday of each month is hand food and sparkling water. The first Friday of each month is surprise bags with a lottery ticket stapled to it. Special Thursday can be any Thursday with hot wings and ginger ale. The last Saturday of each month is storytelling and picture buffet. Every third Sunday is email wishes and listed lessons learned. On every Eleventh of the month, an anniversary salute is observed with special guests and pot luck lunch. Well wishers are always welcome, come by in person, phone in before 11:00 am or leave you card scotch taped on the garage door.
I hope you are kidding too, afficionado. Someone the other day used the f word and called someone the same and as of yesterday that comment was still standing.

If that’s Ruth and Stephen coming in the door, this is correct. But if Ruth and Stephen are in the foreground, they would be “ceremonious”, right?
