you guys will not believe just what happened…I was eating dinner and my back tooth fell apart! I’m supposed to lounge by the pool tomorrow, not sit in a Dentist chair! DARN! Husband says I can just put dental wax over it and I don’t have to go to the Dentist just yet. Is there a Dentist in the House? Can I do that? Help!
I’m taking Bev’s advice. it doesn’t hurt so I’m going to ignore it. Besides I haven’t got everyone’s present yet! If Margaritas are being passed around, I’ll take one, maybe if I stay tipsy I won’t care. LOL
Fenton is off on Thursday nights….The little monkeys take his shift…. as they do on Tuesday nights.Thursday nights are busier, usually, so Bev’s friend the Fireman comes in to help out.
He’s quite a Margarita specialist…and the little monkeys love banana daiquiris…
but you can order any drink from either…and they’re all …well, kinda nice to look at.
@2old, I recommend that you use a local dentist and get a temporary filling (wax- whatever they want to call it). And as Bev said “chew on the other side”. I have had full dentures since sometime in the 1970s and only wear the lowers to eat hard foods (because they don’t show when smiling and interfere with talking and stuff). I just have to be careful about forgetting them when going out to eat (and putting back in my purse).
@Susan, that young man looks just like the former neighbor who did the new hardwood floor here. He is a finish carpenter by trade and does side jobs. He and his wife were good friends while they lived a couple of doors down. She was secretary of the Blockwatch and had a big color printer on the grant. I edited the newsletters monthly and printed one- she made color copies for the whole subdivision. After they moved, I drafted some plans for him for some remodeling projects that he did.
Their kids delivered all the newsletters and they helped us before my floor to tear out all the beige carpet and scrape glue off the concrete slab that was here in my multiroom and bird room. Nearly white is OK for livingroom but this room (with my PC, TV and workout stuff) connects kitchen, garage/laundry and patio). Back then, two grandkids lived near and those juice boxes made a mess. I was always cleaning the carpet. I had told the realtor that I planned to tear it out (she thought it would be to noisy) but you’ve seen photos with my thick flower scatter rugs.
Funny, I was just studying the chairs in my bedroom this morning before I extracted myself from bed. One side chair in pink with gold dots that I painted all gold (legs and the oval frame around the back) was from a consignment store and a comfortable swivel armchair from a neighbor’s yard sale I reupholstered in a really nice tapestry. Covered one of those tiny bedtop pillows with the same.
Marshall is meeting his chair for the first time it seems. Every day his holdings increase due to his short term memory. If Myrtle didn’t keep rearranging the furniture, Marshall would be surprised at what few things he possessed, including Myrtle.
Did I miss the fireman again? Darn late night meetings any way. Good thing I saw four firemen over Thanksgiving weekend. There was a burnt muffin in the microwave at mom’s retirement home. It took two fire trucks and a pumper to save us.

Myrtle is a nice wife, indeed….
but if she ever hears Marshall refer to her as one of his "holdings…
she might get a just a wee chip in her halo from throwing it so hard at his head….

G’night, Bev…. g’night Marg…..
And 2Old…. that just isn’t fair.
I don’t know what dental wax is, even…. but I’d probably try it.
That way maybe you can make it back to your usual dentist.

I offered one of the firemen a job at the Tiki to spell of fireman in case there is a real fire on Ballard Street Thursday night.

He wants to be sure it is calmed down before he sits on it. It was a “feral” he picked up at a thrift store. :)
