I got nutting. Good morning everyone here at Ballard St. :) A nice sunshiny day here,still a bit nippy,tho.Sigh! Bike is in the back yard,waiting for a little TLC,before riding season. Fresh fuel is in, now for some lube and plugs. Hmmm? What else? Already checked the tire pressure.

I’m of a like mind with Kyle. Susan and Essex60 – love the poem back and forth. You guys are great! Although Essex, if Beviek sees your last picture, I don’t think even great poetry will save you.

I have many times thought like Lyle….What is the purpose?? What is the meaning?What is the greatest answer to life’s deep mysteries…..????Then I remind myself I have my chores to do and just get on with it…..time for deep thoughts later…..after a good nap and a good beer later on.(As for my shift over….I am a State Police officer here in Texas….33 years and counting with the Highway Patrol…started in 1981. Lived in towns just like Scurvyville.)

Nope not on State equipment…..personal on my desk….my own internet connection (ours is so restricted I cant even get news). My time is my own….I too VN 1972 10 months till pulled worked with some guys from those initials starting with a C….spent most of my time on the other side of borders being a “Watcher”. With my Dept they were “dumb” enough to let me retire then rehire in 04. 62 in July…..like a new president I got 4 more then gone.Like the song goes…..“Just doing my job on the Highway Patrol”Duty officer now in the district office. Gofer this and Gofer that…..and I am a really good gofer…..I make FedEx look like chumps in Logistics.Keep the rubber side down and always remember….keep it at two seconds. Then again if like our freeways here in DFW lucky if you are even moving.

Oh and on being shot……yes it does hurt.OO buck right leg, skip shot from the bad guy, as he fell back from my slug to his chest, I was aiming, he was raising.We do and did hold that Thin Blue Line.My salute to you too.
