Put your purse down Hortense and enjoy the ride. Whoopie!Earl promised he wouldn’t get up abruptly. And that splinter that you warned him about doesn’t count. Suck it up Earl!
She may have warned him…. but I can’t figure out how he could have seen it coming.
Neither of them is touching the ground. He is trying hard to remember… I can see it in his face…“OK… think! What were we doing, right before this?Did we try anything unusual, before we suddenly found ourselves with all four feet in the air?”
Bev! I have to work tonight!Fenton needs me …I’ve already had a long day, especially what with working the Wednesday night farmer’s market….You have to STOP posting those sleepy little animals during my shift…cos they make me fall asleeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
OK, I fell asleep there… and when I woke up just now, I noticed a little change to this site… and not just Ballard Street, cos I checked some other strips.
The little calendar at the upper right corner of the strip, next to the date, has always had a little arrow you could click to go back a day…. and when you’re on a previous day, there’s also a double arrow to get back to today.
Now there’s also a double arrow to go back to the beginning…or at least as far back as the archives go on GoComics.
Click it here and you can read the strip for January 1st 2001.Ballard St is older than that, but maybe wasn’t with Universal or United Features, whose archives Universal now displays as well.
Now comes the dare…..who jumps off first…….then again who is on second….. but wait who is on first…….no wait who is on second right so how can who jump off first…..if who is on second? So who jumps off….who Whoo!!!Oh never mind it was an owl anyway.Good night, ladies………….
@Veteran, the only way to get off when they’re ready is to inch toward the fulcrum so that they meet and get off together (always a good idea anyway – LOL!)
I’ll have one now. I made a trip to Total Wine this morning and got a few different beers (the Sessions Black and Guinness black that I KNOW I like as well as the Sam Adams Summer sampler).
I just had a plate of my bean salad and whole wheat toast for a light repast. I gather no one has found news of the Captain yet. Did no one have his email?
Happy, love the see-saw pictures….except..well…. I could have happily lived my whole life without ever seeing the last one (the flies on the orange.)Eeeew…
BTW I went to big park when I was a kid (maybe a state park?) where they had a huge log see saw like that.My Mom was afraid to let us go on it, till the ranger pointed out that a seesaw is about balance … The size of the log is irrelevant, as long as you don’t stand under it when somebody jumps off the other side.
