At four months old, Max was on “Death Row” down South. Kirk, the director of Love Handlers Ranch in Tennessee, rescued him and shortly after that (after falling in love with this photo on-line)

we adopted him, and he made the long trip up to Massachusetts in a specially outfitted truck, to jump right into my arms…and into my heart.

Our doggie Walter, a 18 pound Border Terrier/Shih Tzu mix that we rescued is the best dog we have ever owned – and he will not be our last rescue dog! :-)

@2 Old, I also love the hat. I’d wear that for Thanksgiving! I still love the CRAZY one I wore for Halloween (only bad because it bumped the door on 3 sides – passing out the Trick or Treats).
