you would be amazed at the number of “outdoorsmen” from the city that our sheriff’s department has to rescue every month.

Every time I read this, I say to myself, “What’s wrong with cotton pants?” As long as hypothermia is unlikely, cotton’s not usually a terrible choice.

It depends what material. Poplin is cotton as is denim. One will wear and one won’t.
